CC 171: The Divorced Handbag Lover

In today’s installment of Closet Confessionals, we meet a handbag lover in her late 40s who has been a vegetarian for 25+ years. Because of this, her collection is comprised mostly of fabric or leather bags, and CC 171 has a soft spot in her heart for Louis Vuitton. While she’s come to accept that LV bags do have leather trim, she also favors Prada Nylon bags and states that her Prada SA is an integral part of her collecting journey.

While CC 171 has a lovely collection of handbags, she’s been on quite the journey since she first began loving and collecting bags in her 20s. After her divorce, she started fresh, though she states that there are some regrets over pieces that she sold, particularly original Prada Nylon Pieces. CC 171 also favors designer shoes and does admit that while shopping at times feels like a form of therapy, her divorce and subsequent home sale made her realize how much excess stuff she owned that she didn’t need.

CC 172: The RN Whose Bags Signify Her Hard Work

In today’s installment of Closet Confessionals, we meet a Registered Nurse from Texas who has been collecting bags since her late twenties. While she started off dipping her toe in the handbag pond with a Louis Vuitton Monogram bag, eventually, she expanded into Hermès. CC 172 began her Hermès journey as a walk-in client with the purchase of a Garden Party, and from there, she began exploring the world of Birkins and Kellys too!

During the pandemic, after many hours of overtime, CC 172 was able to buy a lot of the Hermès bags she currently owns, and while she doesn’t dream of having a massive collection of bags, this collector does admit that the ones she lusts after are quite pricey. Over the years, CC 172 has been able to narrow down her favorite kind of bags and has realized that crossbody bags are quite important to her. Additionally, this handbag lover sold a Kelly bag in sellier leather after realizing this type of leather didn’t work for her and would like to purchase a retourne Kelly 25 next.

The History of Fake Designer Bags

Famous fashion houses have been around since the mid-19th century, and their logos and designs have become iconic symbols of the industry. So when everyone has these designer bags, how do you tell the authentic ones from the fake?

This brief history of fake designer bags gives an overview of how imitation handbags started in marketplaces like New York City’s Canal Street, evolved into high-quality replicas, and eventually found their way into the closets of today’s fashionable consumers. Read on to learn more about the history of fake designer bags!

Part 1: How fake designer bags came into the world

Fake designer bags have been around almost as long as designer bags themselves. In the early days, replica Louis Vuitton bags were sold at flea markets and on the streets. As the demand for designer bags increased, so did the demand for fake designer bags. Today, you can find fake designer bags almost anywhere in the world. From China to Italy, there are counterfeiters waiting to serve your every need. For those who want an affordable alternative or a quick fix, replica Louis Vuitton bags may be their best option.

These replicas are typically made from durable leather that is easy to maintain with cleaning products that most people already own. A replica bag does not last forever, but it will last much longer than a knockoff bag since it is made from quality materials that are not glued together but sewn together with actual stitches. Replica Louis Vuitton also comes in various styles, colors, and prints, allowing the wearer to customize their look.

Part 2: From the flea market to your favorite retail store

In the early 2000s, fake designer bags became more prevalent as China began mass-producing them and selling them at flea markets worldwide. By 2005, counterfeit
