Angel Di Maria scored an absolute pearler in Juventus‘ Europa League match against Nantes on Thursday evening.
The two sides drew 1-1 in their last 32 first leg clash in Turin a week prior.
Juventus needed a victory in France to progress and they got off to a dream start at Beaujoire Stadium.
Di Maria was in the starting lineup and he opened the scoring in style in the 5th minute.
Nicolo Fagioli picked out Di Maria on the edge of the box and he decided to have a pop at goal.
The 35-year-old’s first time effort with his left foot started well outside the post before nestling perfectly into the top corner.
Nantes’ goalkeeper, Alban Lafont, got absolutely no where near the ball and was hapless as it found the back of the net.
It was a stunning goal and you can view it below.
Massimiliano Allegri’s reaction said it all. The Italian was clearly impressed and its no wonder why – Di Maria’s effort was special.
Di Maria doubled his tally 15 minutes later.
The winger’s goal-bound effort was blocked on the line by Nantes defender, Nicholas Pallois.
Pallois was penalised for handball and not only did the referee give Juventus a penalty, he also gave Pallois a red card.
Di Maria then stepped up and slammed his effort into the top corner to give his side a two-goal lead.
The former PSG winger went on to score Juventus’ third and complete his hat-trick in the 78th minute.
There were no further goals as the Italian giants cruised through to the last
