I bought CD from charity shop – but was stunned to find it contained unseen photo of JFK that could be worth thousands

A SHOPPER was in for a shock when he bought a CD at a charity shop and walked home with a photo that could be worth thousands.

George Rebeles was perusing the aisles at Souls Harbor Thrift Store when he picked up Bachman Turner Overdrive’s CD to listen to on the way home.

When he decided to finally open the CD case a month later, he was floored.

A single black and white polaroid photo was tucked neatly into the CD case, depicting former President John F Kennedy riding in a motorcade minutes before disaster.

The photo was made all the more interesting when he saw the date scribbled on the back of the print – November 22, 1963 – the day of his assasination.

George told local media: “I was shocked. I was shocked. And that’s putting it mildly.

“Of course realized immediately that this was an unpublished photograph. It just struck me as odd to find it in a CD case.”

The unseen photograph of the slain president could fetch up to £8,000 at auction, similar to other photos of the president which have been sold in the past.

Former FBI analyst and JFK historian Farris Rookstool III said the photo was snapped only a short while before JFK was assassinated.

The former analyst said: “I just hope that someone will look at this and say, ‘You know what, this is pretty nice to have something from history, to see something that no one has seen in probably 60 years.'”
